Transient Labs September Newsletter
Hello Transient Family,
September has been filled with collaborations, launches, and exciting tech developments at Transient Labs. From collaborating with renowned artists to diving deep into new tech during Ghost Week, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in digital art. Read on to find a comprehensive overview of our project releases, Lab updates, and partnerships that made September truly memorable
🚀 Projects and Collaborations launched in September
Rebecca Roses’s “The Whole Town is Waiting” is the second work in the DeepCuts series with three different on-chain aspect ratios to accommodate digital displays, made possible using the Doppelgänger contract. There are six options, 3 with sound and three silent, to allow for display without sound. Sold for 1.9 ETH.
Mariana Makwaia’s “Play Pretend”: Mariana launched the first evolving music album on the DoppelGanger contract with one token and multiple songs. Thanks to the DoppelGanger contract, one token can represent an entire album, where each track is a unique asset within the array of the NFT. 32 minted! Listen to the “Play Pretend” Twitter Space
Hardley Davidson’s “The Detective”: Immerse yourself in the captivating world of "The Detective," a dynamic audio-interactive art experience minted using Transient Labs story contract. In this thrilling narrative, you'll step into the shoes of a British detective named J.T. Matthew. The piece is listed at 6.5E.
Ayla El Moussa’s “Natural Forms & Geometric Shapes”: A dynamic piece that transitions from day to night, exploring primal fears and emotions. The piece is her exploration of history, symbolism, and Alchemy. Listed for 10E.
Karborn’s “The Seeker” captures the essence of the many pioneering entities and archetypes engaging with digital art in The Space. Built on the Collectors Choice contract, holders of THE SEEKER may select and update the artwork displayed on their editions as often as desired - for now! The mint is LIVE; for every mint, 10 minutes are removed from the mint clock, 0.23eth.

We hosted our first-ever event at Art Blocks Weekend in Marfa, TX. Transient Labs hosted the closing event with a bang in collaboration with DieWithTheMostLikes with a surprise mint on Kmartblocks.IO featuring a 666 generative art drop of his Beef Brothko’s. The event was a live art performance with a live glory hole to win physical Beef Brothko’s, a QR code that led the attendees to the“Brothko” mint site with the mint. Creed, Nickelback, and Godsmack filled the air with 4lokos, sex toys, and male enhancement supplements available for barter at the flea market. It was quite the experience, and be on the lookout for our plans in Miami :) Thank you to GlitchMarfa, Collab Currency, Derek Edwards, and Madison Mage for making this event possible!

We partnered with Axiom and NiftyGateway to send your art to space! There is an open call to submit your unminted work until October 3rd; don’t miss it!
đź‘»Ghost Week
From September 18th to 22nd, Transient Labs and its key experts and partners took a deep dive underground. At the end of the week, we came out with three groundbreaking + innovative products we're eager to unveil on October 31st.
Introducing T.R.A.C.E. (Tokenized Records for Artwork Certification and Evolution):
Making its debut with ACK’s masterpiece, “The Muse - Sage Green,” set for auction at Christie's.
TRACE brings blockchain to the masses instead of pulling the masses to blockchain.
TRACE isn’t just a product; it’s the future of provenance, authentication, and documentation.
Why TRACE is Revolutionary:
It integrates sovereign creator contracts (L1 or L2).
Utilizes Story Inscriptions for unchangeable on-chain provenance storage.
Introduces advanced, secure chips fixed into tangible items. These chips aren't just secure; they hold the TRACE Digital Certificates of Authenticity.
Boasts tamper resistance and signs on-chain verifications.
Stay tuned! A full TRACE product launch and two more product announcements from Ghost Week are set for 10/31/2023.
🧪 The Lab’s New Features & Updates
Two months into our Closed Alpha program, we've now reached 500 creators. Your feedback has been crucial in this journey. Based on it, we've made significant updates this month to enhance your experience in The Lab.
Batch Minting: We've enabled a seamless way to batch mint draft tokens from The Lab! This allows you to mint 100 nfts for only 0.02 eth (at 50 gwei gas)! This is a 30x improvement over what's currently available for creators.
Indexing Contracts to Foundation: You can now index ERC721TL contracts to Foundation! (Note that Foundation does not support dynamic art yet, but if you want them to support it faster, feel free to reach out to them and request it!)
Draft Token Deletion: One of the most requested features for draft tokens is here - deletion! If you've accidentally made a draft token you didn't want to, you can delete it now! With our new multi-select user experience, you can also batch-delete draft tokens.
NFT Refresh: We've enabled functionality to manually refresh nfts on a contract and refresh metadata on a token. As we integrate with partners like Exchange.art, they are starting to enable minting to existing contracts indexed to the platform, which includes Transient Labs contracts! To import those tokens minted outside of The Lab onto a contract you deployed, you can now click a button to refresh the contract!
User Experience Improvements: We've made many improvements to our user experience that have been asked for during the alpha so far. The biggest one you'll notice is that token thumbnails are now square! We've also introduced multi-select functionality that extends to token interactions, such as duplicating many tokens.
Coming Soon: The next major update to The Lab will be the addition of the Doppelganger contract!
