Transient Labs Newsletter- March & April
Hello Transient Family,
Welcome to our latest newsletter, packed with important updates and exciting developments from Transient Labs. This newsletter highlights new product features such as Stacks (creator sovereign mint pages) & T.R.A.C.E, notable projects, and significant partnerships that continue to advance our platform and community.
The Lab Updates 🧪
Introducing Stacks: Customizable Mint Pages
Stacks, developed by Transient Labs, is our newly launched feature designed to enhance the minting, showcasing, and selling of digital artworks. It supports ERC-1155 and ERC-721 token standards, allowing creators to issue open, timed, or dynamically minted editions directly from their contracts without relying on external marketplaces. This lets you retain more control over the sale process and reduces the costs typically associated with digital art sales. Stacks introduces unique features such as Velocity and Marathon minting options that adapt to buyer demand, two-phase sales for pre-sale and public offerings, and customizable mint pages that reflect each creator’s vision. By prioritizing affordability and innovation, Stacks is poised to make digital art more accessible to artists and collectors alike. Learn more: https://www.transientlabs.xyz/stacks
Key Features of Stacks:
Dynamic Minting Options: Choose from various minting formats such as open editions, timed releases, and innovative, dynamic minting techniques, including Velocity and Marathon, which adjust the minting pace based on real-time demand.
Two-Phase Sales Strategy: Utilize a sophisticated two-phase sales approach that allows for an exclusive presale phase followed by a public sale, each with customizable settings for durations, pricing, and wallet limits to maximize engagement and sales.
Full Customization of Mint Pages: Tailor every aspect of your Mint pages with comprehensive customization tools. Add detailed project descriptions, detailed FAQs, and dynamic content sections. Each page is fully responsive, ensuring your work looks great on any device.
Introducing T.R.A.C.E.: Ensuring Authenticity and Provenance in Physical Artworks
At Transient Labs, we proudly present T.R.A.C.E., our innovative solution designed to authenticate and journal the journey of physical artworks through blockchain technology. T.R.A.C.E. stands for Tokenized Records for Artwork Certification and Evolution, combining physical technology with smart contracts to secure your art's legacy and legitimacy.
T.R.A.C.E. is here.
Starting NOW - creators can mint and manage digital COAs for physical art in The Lab.
We are running around NFT NYC with T.R.A.C.E. chips and giving them out to creators interested in using this new tech.
Come find us tonight and get chipped!

How T.R.A.C.E. Works:
Digital Certificates of Authenticity (dCOA): Each physical artwork is paired with a digital certificate, securely stored on the blockchain, enhancing credibility and longevity.
T.R.A.C.E. Chips: Embedded NFC chips act like mini wallets attached directly to the artwork. These chips are tamper-evident and generate a unique private key for maximum security.
Creator Contracts: Customized smart contracts, explicitly tailored for T.R.A.C.E., ensure that each artwork’s digital and physical authenticity aligns perfectly.
Records and Verification: T.R.A.C.E. records every significant event in an artwork’s lifecycle, from exhibitions to sales, onto the blockchain. This immutable history ensures that all ownership changes and validations are permanently documented.
Registered Agents: Galleries, auction houses, and other trusted entities play a crucial role as validators, adding layers of verification and affirming the artwork’s narrative.
We have streamlined the deployment of T.R.A.C.E. Certificates of Authenticity (dCOA) with a self-service flow directly within The Lab, making it easier than ever for creators to secure their works and legacy. The physical NFC chips are available upon request & are needed before creating your digital COA.

Are you ready to get BASED? 🔵
In addition to supporting Ethereum and Arbitrum as available chains for creators, we are excited to announce that The Lab will soon support Base, an innovative Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) solution. Base will offer our creators a platform with enhanced scalability, reduced costs, and streamlined access to a vast user network.
ERC-7160 - A New Dimension in NFT Functionality
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming integration of the ERC-7160 standard into our platform, co-authored by our co-founder Marco Peyfuss. This smart contract standard introduces multi-metadata functionality, which allows creators to add multiple assets, each with their own title, description, and traits, to a token, allowing the collector to display their favorite asset. An example would be a smart contract with a series of 1/1s; for each 1/1, the artist can add multiple aspect ratios of the piece, allowing the collector to display the aspect ratio that works best with their digital screen. Learn more about ERC-7160 here.
