Transient Labs August Newsletter
Hello Transient Family,
Welcome to your August update! From new user milestones and feature rollouts, August has been a month of rapid growth and innovation. Read on for a complete rundown and a sneak peek of what’s ahead.
🚀 Projects and Collaborations launched in August
Nevin Johnson’s “Dreamstate”- A dynamic NFT in which the initial state is a dreamy photo, but it doubles as a dream, impressionistic painting when you click it, made in collaboration with Philipp Rosenhain—sold for 2 ETH.
0xdgb’s “The Cameras”- The first collection to utilize the Collector’s Choice smart contract; much like Doppelgänger, each NFT token in "Cameras" points to multiple artworks, and as a collector, you get to display your favorite artwork from the array. So what’s the catch? 0xdgb will set a deadline, which will freeze your choice. Sold out!
Ryan Koopman’s & Alice Wexell’s “The Enchanted Hour”- A dynamic artwork merging reality and imagination, inspired by the concept of time. An animated owl emerges from the painting every hour, soars through the room, and hoots to mark the time. Built on DoppelGanger, owners of the NFT can choose the dynamic day-night cycle or 'only Day' or 'only Night' displays. Available for 28 ETH.
Heart You’s “Forever, Heart You”- A collection of 122 unique poems, each as a 1/1 NFT that comes with original artwork, a poem, and HeartYou's signature. HeartYou utilized Story Inscriptions to immortalize each poem on the blockchain. If you acquire a 1/1 poem, you can add your own inscriptions.
Jeremy Booth’s “Ride Out”- is a dynamic NFT that displays the artwork and BTS (behind the scenes) of the creative process minted on an ERC721TL contract. Click the painting to reveal the BTS. Sold.
Hasan Goktepe’s “The Isle of Life”- This artwork can be shattered into six separate pieces by the collector upon request. Each piece will become an individual 1/1, and all pieces have a wanderer with their own story. If the collector chooses not to divide it, it will remain as a single artwork. Available for 2 ETH on SuperRare.
🎨 Transient Visions II
We are thrilled to bring our second cohort of Transient Visions, an exhibition of 1/1 NFT artworks that were created at the intersection of art and technology. Four established and emerging artists from around the globe worked with Transient Labs to bring their dynamic & interactive visions to life.
1. Dragic Markovic's "Slightly Confused Mornings" leverages the Shatter contract to give the collector the right to shatter the 1/1 into a collection of 24 individual 1/1s. Sold for 0.51 ETH.
2. DegenPain’s “Searching for Myself" utilizes the DoppelGanger contract to allow eight versions of the artwork to live within one token. The 8th version cycles through each of the seven variations every day of the week. The original physical painting is included. Available for 5 ETH on SuperRare.
3. Diego Mac’s “CHOREOGRAPHIC TIME CAPSULE - 1 Year" comprises a 3D choreography animation. Every day, a new still would replace the old one until day 365 which is when the token will take its final form in being a video. Available for 0.34 ETH on SuperRare.
4. gawswolf’s “ToonWrld” is a WRLD with no rules. For every day of the week, there is a correlating piece that is displayed. Seven artworks, all in one piece. Available for 1 ETH on SuperRare.

Dave Krugman released “Rolls” - ROLLS began with ten tokens; each token is a placeholder corresponding to one frame on a roll of film. Now that they have all sold, Dave will use his Mamiya 7ii to shoot the photographs. Once the ROLL is completed, the token metadata will “develop” and will be updated with the final art- high-resolution film scans. 🧪 The Lab’s New Features & Updates
Since launching our Closed Alpha program a month ago, we've seen remarkable growth—scaling from an initial 50 creators to 250. Thanks to feedback from early users, including creators from The Hug x Transient Labs Innovation Laboratory, we’ve implemented key updates. In the most recent sprint, we've rolled out three critical updates to refine your future experience in The Lab.
SuperRare Indexing Improvement: We've changed the indexing logic so that contracts can only be indexed to SuperRare after minting the first token.
Site Performance Improvements: Specifically targeting contract overview pages with many tokens to eliminate page lag without compressing Token Previews.
Contract Settings & Wallet Connection Improvements: Simplified language in the Contract Settings and fixed wallet connection issues on Chrome.
Upcoming Enhancements: The next wave of features includes Batch Minting, Doppelganger Contracts, New Token States, and Time-Based Dynamic NFT Templates.
We're thrilled to share that we'll begin onboarding for those on our early access waitlist starting this month. Invitations will be sent out in waves over the coming months, so stay tuned, and thank you for your patience as we continue to fine-tune The Lab for you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us on Twitter @transientlabs. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey!
