T.R.A.C.E. Exhibition at The Sagamore Hotel
Transient Labs and MakersPlace have partnered to bridge the gap between traditional and digital art.
We have curated an exhibition of digital + physical art from world-renowned artists to coincide with Art Week Miami.
Artists in the drop include:
WhIsBe, Patrick Amadon, Jack Kaido, Botto, Mikael B, Andrea Crespi, Hafftka, PIA, Dave Pollot, ADHD, Parin Heidari, Kyle Dunn, Jake Andrew, and Gina Choy (Accelerate Art curates Gina Choy).
The artworks will be displayed at The Sagamore Hotel South Beach from Tuesday, December 5, through Sunday, December 10, 2023. They will be available for sale on MakersPlace, where collectors can buy the NFT to unlock the physical artwork.
Each artwork comes with T.R.A.C.E. by Transient Labs, a secure chip physically linked to the artwork, which is paired with a certificate of authenticity on the blockchain.
🔍 T.R.A.C.E. - The Future of Art Provenance
T.R.A.C.E., standing for Tokenized Records for Artwork/Asset Certification and Evolution, is not just a system but a revolution in the art world. It's a blend of smart contracts and state-of-the-art hardware. It offers an unprecedented digital Certificate of Authenticity (dCOA) backed by robust blockchain technology for physical art and assets.
Key Components of T.R.A.C.E.
T.R.A.C.E. Chips: These are the heart of the system. Each chip is a marvel of cryptography, equipped with its own Ethereum address and the ability to sign messages, akin to digital wallets like Rainbow or Metamask. The chip's private key is generated internally, ensuring top-notch security, and is never exposed, maintaining integrity from production to application. Interaction with these chips is seamless via NFC technology, making it accessible with most modern smartphones.
T.R.A.C.E. Creator Contract: This is the place where the digital magic takes place. Every dCOA is created on a unique T.R.A.C.E. contract that is owned by the creator and designed specifically for this system. This contract keeps track of the artwork's provenance chain, ensuring that its history and authenticity are preserved, even in the unlikely event of a chip malfunction.
T.R.A.C.E. Records: The blockchain serves as a permanent ledger for your artwork. T.R.A.C.E. records document everything from ownership history to changes, sales, and exhibition details. Creators and registered agents can add records, and each entry is verified by the T.R.A.C.E. chip for complete authenticity.
T.R.A.C.E. Registered Agents: Trusted entities such as auction houses, galleries, and museums are crucial in validating the records associated with each artwork. Artists can appoint their own agents to tailor the system to their unique needs and preferences.
Empowering Art with Technology
The T.R.A.C.E. system allows artworks to have their own digital certificate of authenticity, creating a strong tie between the physical artwork and the digital certificate of authenticity of the artwork. These versatile chips can be integrated into various art forms, such as textiles, vinyl, or wood inlays.
The purpose of this system is not only to protect the art but also to enhance its story, journey, and legacy. Each piece becomes a living entity with a transparent and unbreakable history chain, adding to its value.
